July 4th 2011: Sky Sports News

Sky Sports News begin broadcasting from their brand new studios today. To complement and extend the set designs by Toby Kalitowski we designed and prepared an expansive set of backdrop set extensions comprising a high key architectural interior. See it on Sky ch 405

July 4th, 2011: TV3 News, New Zealand

Our first international project went on air today as TV3 in New Zealand began broadcasting from their existing set updated with a set of still and animated backdrop set extensions designed and prepared by Lightwell. We created three versions of the set extension to correspond to morning, daytime and night time news bulletins. Images to follow.

December 9th, 2010: BBC Local News

Two new studios by BDA and featuring our backdrop set extensions went on air this week. BBC Look North began broadcasting from their new Leeds studio, BBC Points West have begun broadcasting from their new Bristol studio. Both sets feature backlit and projected backdrops prepared in close collaboration with the sets designers.

March 22, 2010: Newsnight

We are proud to announce that the new look Newsnight launches tonight. The set has been updated by Jago Design and features a cityscape view backdrop that we have prepared in conjunction with Jagos and BBC News Graphics.
